Ventanilla Description On the coast of Oaxaca, bathed by the sea, one can glimpse a "tiny window" formed by the weathering of the rocks over centuries. This nature-made creation inspired the name of the small community, today known as "La Ventanilla" (small window) located in Oaxaca, México,10 miles from San Pedro Pochutla, between the coastal towns of Puerto Escondido and Huatulco. The community is made up of 25 families committed to working towards maintaining mangrove life in the nearby lagoons and conserving their biodiversity. "Servicios Ecoturísticos La Ventanilla" offer various projects, all of which work with the principles of sustainable development, those of which help us to learn and live a life respecting and preserving nature. Where is it Ventanilla is located in Santa María Tonameca, Pochutla, in the state of Oaxaca, México. Getting There To arrive by car go in the direction of Puerto Escondido, Pochutla or Huatulco. Take highway 200 until San Antonio street upon arriving in Puerto Escondido. Go straight through the traffic light in the direction of Mazunte, continue straight for approximately 15 minutes until reaching the entrance to "Playa Ventanilla." From México city, flights go directly to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido, alternatively, direct buses are available from the Taxqueña station to Pochutla or Puerto Escondido. Arriving at either of the locations, buses and taxis are available to reach Ventanilla Beach. Where to Stay There is a hostel (for 15 persons) and a cabin (for 5 people) Costs From $5 usd. to
$30 usd. per night in the lodging facilities. Best Time to Visit The tours are available all year, if you'd like to participate in turtle related excursions we recommend that you come between August and October, the months in which the turtles lay their eggs on the beach Activities " Travel by
