Visas are required for all visitors except for citizens from: Argentinia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Island, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Holland, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay & the United Kingdom (whom can enter the country without visa up to 90 days) and United States citizens who require a Tourist Card. Tourist Cards and Tourist Visas are valid for 90 days. You can obtain one from embassies and consulates of El Salvador.
· Customs: Products that can enter the country without paying taxes:
* 200 cigarrettes or 50 cigars
* 2 litres of alcohol
* 6 units of perfume
* gifts with a total value of USD500.00
You cannot introduce vegetables, fruits, plants or animal products.
