· Passports & Visas: All visitors are required to have a valid passport six moths after their arrival. You must always carry it with you, because police can ask for it. Certain international visitors are required to have a visa. These requirements are changed all the time, so ask the nearest Ecuador embassy. If you are planning to visit as a tourist Ecuador you need a passport and a T-3 tourist card, which will be given to you on arrival. The tourist card is valid for 30 or 90 days depending on the daily policy. You cannot remain in thecountry longer than 90 days, if you have other purposes besides tourism you must apply for a visa.
· Customs: You can introduce to Ecuador 1 litre of alcohol, 300 cigarrettes or 50 cigars and a "reasonable" quantity of perfume without paying taxes. Decide what reasonable is for yourself. Alla firearms, ammunition, fresh meat, alive animals or plants and drugs are illegal. These laws are strictly followed.
