· Passports & Visas: A valid passport for six months, or identity card for United States and Canadian citizens, is required to enter Costa Rica. Most international visitors are not required to have a visa, but it is better to consult a Costa Rica embassy.
· Customs: The following articles can be introduced without paying taxes:
* 500 cigarrettes
* 3 litres of alcoholic beverages
* perfume for personal use
There is no restriction on introducing or taking out international or local currency.
