· Frontiers: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Chile & Bolivia.
· Passports & Visas: All international must have a valid passport to enter Peru. You must also show that you have a return ticket to exit Peru. Most visitors entering as tourists or visiting for period under 90 days do not require a visa. Citizens from the European Community, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, United States, most countries in South America and Caribbean countries do not require a visa. Upon arrival you are given a free tourist card, which you must keep to exit Peru. This tourist cards are only issued for 30 days normally, but exceptions can be donde if you require it on arrival for 60 or 90 days. To obtain a visa visit the closest Peruvian consulate or embassy.
· Customs: Articles that can enter Peru free of taxation are:
* 400 cigarrettes or 50 cigars or 250g tobacco;
* 3 litres of alcohol or 3 litres of wine;
* perfume for personal use.
It is illegal to extract archaeological artifacts, edangered species or animal products.
